Hi Raghu,
These are default values which populates in the transaction screen..
1. If you want the value date always to be the current system date, you can tick this and then system will default this on your transaction screen. This enables to reduce data entry which is quite obvious. of course you can chnage, if you want to change the default values.
2. Similarly, the fiscal year is defaulted when you entre transactions for display and chnage documents.
