Thanks for your suggestions. i followed the steps mentioned by you, but still I'm not able to see the new field in the configuration.

Here are the steps i followed,

1. Created a new value attribute

2. Assigned to the Design layer

As suggested by you I clicked on No Design Layer and then saved the details.

I tried going out of the component workbench and opened the component again, but still I'm not able to see the new field. Is there some thing I'm doing wrong or missed? Please advise.
