How to delete the overwriting indicator of a Characteristic in the class

Dear All:

             I overwrite a charateristic in a class,for example I change the 'Entry Required' indicator of a charateristic then the 'Overwriting Indicator' is automatically selected.

             As a result ,other control fields in the class of the charateristic wouldn't change when changing the same field in CT04 which means when I want to make some changes of a charateristic that can effect all the classes using the charateristic is impossible.

             How can I delete the 'Overwriting Indicator' of a charateristic in the class or there is a another way  can fulfill my purpose？
