Unless you've a very old version, I find it hard to believe that anyone providing software in this decade would still be only permitting a standard that became obsolete with the advent of Excel 2007... 8 years ago.
I suggest you contact sclogic for advice. Outputting Excel xls format sheets from SAP in background is a complex task.
