When youmentioned thatin the backgrounddoes not generate theexpected result, you say that this isa process thatwill runfrom ajob (SM36/SM37) ornot showthe user theinputdialogs(mode"E"or"N") ?

WhyI ask this...In some cases (if appropriatebackgroundviaCALLTRANSACTION), when using the"A"mode (Shows Windows) you can fixtheinputof theBDCwhen it iswrong.Whenallowed toin "E", the programwill stopso findingsomeinputerror.Themode "N" will not stop, but will returnerror messagesin the table thatyoumentionin theMESSAGESparameter, except when founda break-point.

My advice is thatif you are usingparametersbefore calling theCALLTRANSACTION("A"forOnline, "E"or "N" forbackground) leave as"E"tothebackgroundmodeand run the testagain.

Now,if it's ajob, there are probablysomevariablewithdefault settings, check that itis sendingdatacorrectly for yourprogram.
