When I click on "Try this" in the SAP Cloud Appliance library for
"Operation Failed: We are sorry, we cannot provide you with the solution due to the results of an export control check."
I see that this has happened to many others and they get a cryptic message back saying "we will contact you within 1 business day". Often they do not contact as I can see the individuals still asking months later.
Sometimes the moderators just delete the question saying "violation of the rules to ask such a question".
On one occasion I saw a response to the effect that "the reasons for denial because of an 'export control check' are confidential. We cannot tell you the reason".
It seems byzantine and unfair to allow some to download but not others and no reason given
I am a US citizen working on a Department of Defense project.
I have written to Hannes Kuehnemund in California at SAP Labs and to Alejandro Barajas who just deleted my message.
Perhaps these individuals would join the "discussion" as to why I am denied access?
