I do not have access to an ECC system and I am working from memory.
I assume that you know how to create views and display table structures through SE11.
The AUSP table stores the characteristic id, material , and characteristic values.The CABN table translates the characteristic id to the characteristic name that you see through the MM03 display.
Important note: the characteristic id is system specific and CHANGES as the object is transported from dev -> QA -> and Production. To make the view capable of transport, join the AUSP table to the CABN table by the characteristic id, but use the characteristic name from CABN to select the id. The characteristic name will be transported across the landscape.
I cannot recall the specific fields in the AUSP and CABN tables, but you should be able to figure it out. If you can arrange a Netmeeting, I would be happy to look over your shoulder and walk you through the process. I am based in the US Pacific time zone (San Francisco)
