Creation of workflow rule for Quote does not have Document type field available!

Hi experts.

I'm working with a workflow rule for sales quotation.

The business scenario is too easy!

I need to initialize some fields when the sales quote is created.

I have two different document types for the sales quote for two different countries

Quotation 001

Quotation 002

This rule has to work only for the document type 002.

but for surprisingly the field  DOCUMENT TYPE is not available in order to validate the condition of execution of this rule!!!!!!

the funny thing is that we have this field  "document type"  available in opportunities , Tickets , etc  but no for quotation...

I raised an incident for this and the response from support was that the this is the expected system behavior and  i need to post my "new idea" for further releases.

does any body has the same problem?

any idea?
