Can global variant created in BEX Query

Hello Experts

I have a requirement to create a local workbook in which every time it should show data for particular 1000 vendors for single user.

I created a local workbook and in selection screen provided those 1000 vendors and save it as a variant.

Here the issue is when  workbook ran with my user ID , I was able to see that variant but Workbook ran by some other user with there user ID ,no variant is available
